My ducklings are 2 weeks old should I be using chick grit yet? If not when? I use it in my adult ducks feed chicken grit..They free some but people around here dont follow the law and let their GIANT dogs run free....So its not safe for my babies to be loose...Those dogs will tear any fence down to get to them!!!

I wouldn't worry about grit until you are feeding foods other than starter.

I just started my 2.5 week chicks on grit today so I could give other treats (I'm too impatient)...I would have done the same with ducklings.

If they were outside foraging...they would have the opportunity for grit & other feed .. so...I try to keep to that idea.

You can't force feed it to them so if they don't need it, they won't look for it. [IMG]
