Do I need hardware cloth on TOP of run?

That all looks and sounds good to me. Nothing better than peace of mind.

I dropped out of the thread about the sick chicks when it went way off subject, but would love to know how they are doing now.

Yeah haha I kind of stopped updating it because that thread sort of took a weird turn. All 4 of my survivors are still with us. 3 of them doing wonderful. I’d dare to say they are pretty much back to 100%. The Ayam Cemani is still struggling, poor little thing. She is getting a tiny bit better daily. She ran across the kennel yesterday and even ate a couple meal worms with her buddies instead of just huddling near the heat. I’m cautiously optimistic about her, as it’s been 8 days on the antibiotics and she’s still with us, but I’m wondering why she’s taking so much longer to recover. The other 3 have surpassed her in size greatly. One of the Flower Hens is easily double her size. We will see what happens. Thanks for asking. :hugs

Well, that's good news indeed. I sure hope the little Ayam Cemani lives through her ordeal. You did such an amazing job with her. Will you be getting the replacement chicks from the same source?

Yep going to get day old ones tomorrow or Saturday. Going to do a very careful quarantine and I’m glad I’m getting them at day old this time so they won’t get so malnurished on her “feed”. Also doing the tylosin as recommended by the vet just in case. Also returning the brooder. Going to have them set up in a kiddie pool with a heat plate. Crossing my fingers it’s a better experience.

I'm sure it will be. You have been purified by fire on this one! :highfive:
