do I need to Amputat ?

When she heals, she will likely take care of her buddy for you. Handicapped birds tend to stick together, and form uncommonly strong bonds of attachment. If they bond together, they may form their own little mini-flock and be inseparable.

I have a duck and goose duo that are joined at the hip. One went missing a few years back, and I feared the worst. The goose was inconsolable. Two days later I heard her trumpeting to the hills, ran outside, and her duck buddy was ambling into the yard from her hidden nest. She was broody, and had hidden a nest in the forest. Her goose was so happy to see her that she couldn't stop announcing her friend's arrival, at full volume, for hours after. The duck never returned to the nest because, I am pretty sure, she got an ear-chewing from her friend.

I got these as a trio. The 3rd is the rooster. I'm trying to get some of their eggs to hatch. They are inseparable now.
TY for the encourage help.

What do I need or can I give her now?
The dead tissue has fallen off, but, there is heat & swelling. She doesn't put any weight on that foot. and she has started pecking at the 1 good toe. Made it bloody so I wrapped the foot to stop her.
