One of my Cochin baby chicks burps a lot I wonder why do you no she seems to have gas for a few days especially at night time
Just save yourself time $$ and guesswork. Get some chick grit for them. A bag will last a long time, just save the bag for your next batch of chicks. And a lady at my pet chicken said that I definitely need to feed the baby chicks chick grit and not stand even if I'm feeding them baby chick feed
I don’t think it is a good idea to feed them sand. You can buy grit from a feed/farm store, or even get a handful of clean gravel or dirt and stick it in the brooder. They’d probably have tons and tons of fun in a pan of dirt, just as a side note.
Have never heard a chicken burp.<shrugs>Your Cochin that burps(?)
