Today is hatch day(the incubator still thinks it is the day before hatch day but in a few hours it will be hatch day). Yesterday a bunch of eggs piped and started to zip, today only on hatched and a bunch the rest of the eggs have seemingly stoped. On egg the the duckling made a strangely big hole in died, I pick up another egg and still heard peeping. However I do not see any action. Is it normal for the ducks to stop mid zipping or should I consider trying to help them?

The one labeled 7 is the one that died, I took the egg out and poked the bill and tapped the egg and no movement or sound. I am not sure what caused this

No I didn’t, I only listened for life and felt it in some of them. They are already piped as well.
If they were mine, I would candle them. All that are moving I would leave alone for a few more hours. Can you candle all of them?

Ok candled them, every one of the ones that piped have motion when candled. A few have only internally piped, I saw motion. Then the rest have not piped internally and I could not see motion.
