Do I need to quarantine?

First time flock Mom! I got 6 chicks about 3.5 weeks ago - one turned out to be a rooster so I’m getting two additional chicks tomorrow that are around the same age; 3-4 weeks old. Do I need to quarantine the new ones before integrating with the 5 I already had? The two new girls are coming from a different breeder than the original 6.

It would good for you to do so.

It would be advisable, however if you cannot do a true biological quarantine due to space, likely cross contamination (i.e. little kids helping out that might forget to wash hands and change clothes) then at least make sure the new birds appear to be in good health and come from a well kept facility, and opt for working on integration immediately instead.
