Do I need to toss an egg with a hairline crack?

Actually I just got the incubator last Fri and set it up and turned it on so it would be ready for today when they eggs arrived. I read on here to start it early to get the temps and humidity worked out first which I did so the eggs will go in tomorrow morning as they just got here this afternoon.

With not getting it up to the right temp the first couple of days I was glad I had done that. I think it was where it was located.

At least I got one thing right.

I feel like an expectant mother.

My concern is that, if I get my Hova from the workshop and turn it on, it will hit 99.5 in a couple of hours, and stay there if I don't open it.

If it took all day, or wouldn't stabilise, then I would want to know why.

It did take days and I posted about it asking others if they had the same issue and a few did. I didn't end up changing the setting and it did come up to temp but I noticed it wasn't where they said in the enclosed literature it was. They tell you it's on setting 3 but when I looked at mine it's on 4. It made me think a/ they really do check them before sending them out and b/ mine wasn't holding the correct temp on 3 for them.

So I will now be watching/wondering if this incubator will hold up or as you suggested something isn't entirely right but I really don't know what to do other than to observe what happens with it. It was pricey if it's only going to be a short lived incubator.

I'm certainly hoping for the best as most everyone on BYC seems to rave about it.
