Do I need to tie off and snip the umbilical cord?

Lone Star is doing good, she has open her eyes a few times and is trying to setup. Her color is great, has nice pink/red skin and is cheeping very good!

But the cord is still attached to the shell and I don't see anymore yolk.

This is one that I had to help hatch!

Thanks.

No! Don't bother it or you could potentially pull the yolk sac out of the chick and cause it to bleed to death. (I know! Graphic, but it could happen.) It will dry up or absorb the rest of the way on its own. Just leave it be.
