Yes, your EE is a pullet. A beard has no bearing on sex determination. It's a breed characteristic.

At first I didn't think Ace had enough comb to be a roo, but it is red enough for that age, and if he is that friendly with you, it could very well be a roo. If that is what you wanted, congratulations, if not, my condolences. Either way they are a pretty breed.
