do it yourself incubator pieces

i have oodles of questions. first what is a heat rope and where can i get one ? is this a good way to reliably warm my incubator ? would i have better luck with something else ? please help i am trying to get the supplies together before i start building cause once i start im not going to want to stop .lol

I have three homemade incubators and I use 60 watt light bulbs. The heat rope is expensive. I do advise the wafer type thermostate though. the waterheater type range way to much for me.

YOU CAN GET A HEATING ELEMENT AT CUTLERSUPPLY.COM. IT'S MORE LIKE A SPRING NOT A ROPE. THEY ARE NOT VERY EXPENSIVE.

thanks guys maybe i can use the element. i was using a incubator on byc as a guide line and it said heat rope and i was confused as to what they were talking about . might try the bulb thing too.i just need input . i was going to use a auto egg turner and build a insulated box around it . i already have a thermostat and fan ,and the wood to build it .
