do lice or mites die

No question is stupid! At one time each one of us has asked the same. I would treat again in 7-10 days, for eggs that hatch. is it lice or mites? mites you will see drop of and die(like pepper flakes,LOL) Lice are tricky and i always pick off as many clusters as i can. Nasty suckers! You can always post a pic if your not sure what they are.

I'll take a picture tomorrow and get some help figuring out how to post it. I have to admit that seeing her vent kind of gaged me. I'm used to horses, dogs and cats, I've never had to deal with lice or mites. Her vent and tail feather area looked brown and crusty. Trust me I took care of injuries, but bugs in the butt.....I'm trying I really am. I went down to their roost after dark while they would be all quiet and I could handle them easily and so I wouldn't have to really see.... I could just apply the Sevin.

sounds like lice! It will get better, just keep treating her for awile. I did like 3 treatments just incase~
