Do little knots mean roos...

I bought 3 chicks that are probably 2+wks. After getting home and carefully examing them I see knots on all of them where spurs would be.................

Does this mean they are all roos?

These are the chicks I'm talking about. That last one might be a frizzle. No feathers on legs, so not sure exactly what it is. Look at that beak, looks like a turkey, bless it's little heart. The first one has blue legs.

All chickens will develop those little knots at some point.

I never go by the spur method as I have hens with spurs. It is too unreliable.

pullets can also have lil spurs, but not as prominant. The top one does look rooish, but it is so early. I am amazed.

No, that does not mean roos. Most chicks will have them. I would post a pic in about 2-3 more weeks and we can help you identify them. However, if I had to guess right now at 2 weeks old, I would say the top one is a roo and the bottom one a pullet. Again, just a guess.

One of my Blue Orp hens had spurs, like pencil erasers, LOL. Both sexes have those bumps.

So if you breed blue roo with black hen you could get black and blue?
