Do Mature chickens kill young cats?

Hi, We have 9 mature chickens about 6 years old in a fenced yard about 30' by 60', Also we have three mature pet cats and four feral cats that we feed. Cats and chickens pretty much ignore each other.

A few weeks ago we started noticing two young kittens, 2 to 4 months old which appeared feral because they would always disappear when approached. There was always plenty of food and water available.

This week I found on two different days, the two kittens dead in separate parts of the chicken yard, Both looked like they had been trying to get away and were chased into a corner. No blood. Just dead.
 
Yes, if it’s small enough and can’t get away. I have seen my chickens gang up on a toad, a mouse.... a cat is a direct threat so yes I can see chickens killing one. It’s best that you keep the cats out of the chicken run; it’s only a matter of time before a large cat decides it’s hungry enough to eat one of your babies.
