Do momma hens w/chicks lay eggs?

What a sweet mommy!! I can't wait to see what kind of mom's my hens are next year!

Hens do vary a lot.....some even leave their chicks at 2-3 weeks and some....well they are hanging on to their adolescents for ever.

Most of my hens seem to want to have tiny chicks but don't like them when they reach puberty and get stroppy, moody and hormonal.....now can I draw a parallel here?????
