We're getting a lot of mosquitoes in the backyard after a few rainstorms. Do they bite geese? what would be a safe & effective mosquito control method?

Mosquitos will bite anything that'll hold still long enough. That said, the thickness of the down/feather combo on geese would, I imagine, largely reduce any actual nuisance to the geese. Unless you're looking for mosquito control for the humans in your family, I wouldn't worry about it.

Makes sense... I was mostly concerned about the geese. Guess I can stop worrying now. Thank you

I would think the only place they would have a chance is on their legs and feet, and maybe the knob if you have Chinese. I sometimes see one or two on my gander when I'm out passing time with him, and I just flick them off. Neither the gander nor the goose seem to notice them.
