I have never had Muscovy's and read about them and how they are great for bugs ect. I read that people do not pen them up at night cause they can fly. Is this true? How are their personalities (we love Cayuga's as we find them very friendly and want something like that). Thanks in advance!

Mine have free ranged pretty much since the first day I got them. They know where the coop is because they're in there daily for food, but they don't come there at night. Some sleep in this dogloo, some sleep on the railing around it, and a few others disappear completely at night. Occasionally, one of them will come to the coop and sleep in there, but that is very rare. My dogs do roam outside at night keeping nasties away, and the ducks have learned to stay away from them. I have contemplated building a duck coop up on this dock, but I'm not sure if they would even go into it.
