Hey Guys!! Last night my 5 week old cinnamon queens slept out in the coop for the first time. I have them in a small cage inside the coop while my big girls get used to them! My question is do i have to put food and water in the cage?? i did last night but it spilled everywhere and/or had poop in it so it wasn’t drinkable! i got up super early this morning to let everyone out which is what i plan on doing that until they are out of the cage!! i don’t want to put the water in there if i don’t have to to keep it clean

Birds do not eat and drink at night, so no, they don't need food or water at night.
As soon as the sun is up, they need food and water.

will they be okay until 7am without water? i work nights so i typically don’t wake up before 9 but i’ve been setting my alarm for 7 to let them out .. should i be getting up with the sun? this is temporary there is a nipple waterer inside the coop regularly .. but they won’t have access to it until they sleep in there without the cage
