Not a good idea.I recently was gifted 2 australop pullets....its been a few weeks and they don't seem to be sure of anything! they are afraid of the coop and wont go in at night....do I need to find an older girl to "mother" them?
they wont let me get close ! they are the weirdest hens ever in my 40+ years of chickens and other birdsThey are ok. Can you place them in the coop at night? Mine understood after two nights.
i might try that....makes senseInstall a light in the coop to lure them in at nightfall. Chickens are afraid of the dark and without a light the inside of the coop will be darker than outside.
They sound a little strange!they wont let me get close ! they are the weirdest hens ever in my 40+ years of chickens and other birds
