There was a big mess up at the post office where all of their live animal boxes fell over so both of the other barnevelders we got died. It wasn’t Alchemist Farms fault and yet they gave us free credits to replace those ones! So we reordered and ended up getting 5 new barnevelder chicks instead of 2! But two of those chicks have died (because like I said they are fragile!). So here they are. (We also picked up 2 more from Wilco the day we got the others!🙈)!😂

Yeah we got polishes from Wilco like 7 months ago and I love them all so much!😁 We’ve also gotten lots of other chickens from Wilco but I seriously love my polishes!🤪 They are in a separate coop than our regular one!😉 That’s my rooster Sunny panting in the summer heat with his girls!😁

Sorry I feel like I’ve stolen this whole conversation!😬

I am broken-hearted. Today we lost Rosie. The last of my 5 OG hens from Dare2Dream Farms. In the short time that I have had them, (less than a year and a half), every one has succumbed to maladies ranging from strokes, to paralysis, to tumors, and my dear Becky simply dropped dead one night. For reference, most chickens live 5 to 10 years.

I am so so so sad and I am so so so angry and I am so so so upset with this farm. I’m a member of a lot of chicken groups and there is no shortage of others who are seeing these same results with their birds. I sometimes wish I could go back in time, but I loved my girls so very much and I wept upon their passing like they were my children. I spent nights trying to nurse them back to health and giving them baths and hand-feeding them, trying to alleviate their pain. I’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to save them to no avail. I have experienced more pain and loss in this last year and a half than I thought humanly possible and it continues still. Their loss stays with me. Every time I go into the backyard.

If it takes me the rest of my life, I am going to shout from the mountaintops like Maria Von Trapp: DO NOT BUY YOUR BIRDS FROM DARE2DREAM FARMS. SHAME ON YOU.
I had a similar experience, losing all 5 of my chicks in less than a year. They also became paralysed, with 2 dying within days of each other and the other two a couple of weeks later, even after I hand-fed them, trying to nurse them back to health. I felt they were suffering too much and had them euthanised at the vet's office. I understand your grief. I cried for days and then reached out to Dare 2 Dream. They said I could replace them with the same breed or at half price for another breed. I'm warning friends to be cautious before buying from them.
