Four nesting areas, but they have to fight over the same one and someone inevitably ends up with egg on their a$$. Literally 
Do not have only ONE nest box!

4 boxes 4 hens and not once have they ever used any of them or even gone into them. Doesn't bother me at all as the corner they like is easy access.
