I just had to share this. I'm sure someone else can relate. I went out this morning to collect my 1 daily egg. (I still have only one hen laying out of 8). Anyway, I got the egg and realized they needed more water and food. SO, I decided to put the egg in my pocket while I filled the waterer and then would take the egg in the house. I was able to get in the coop and get the water filled and even had the scoop ready to fill the food bin when one of the ladies decided she wanted to peck at the door area and get a little snack out of the run. I leaned on the door so I wouldn't trip over her and to get her back inside when my hip hits the door and then I hear CRACK! Needless to say, my leg and pocket start to feel rather wet, so lesson learned. Don't put eggs in your pocket! Otherwise you will have to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast whether you want them or not.
