Do Orpingtons fly??

I trimmed the primary feathers of my Buff just in case she might want to fly away. Now, she follows me around everywhere, so I'm not worried about it any more.

Well here the grass is not greener on the other side to say, its green on both sides,
our birds are quite content in there 20 x 50 ft uncovered run..ask anyone who's been here, when they are in they are in and don't bother to come out over there run..they just enjoy there day in and the following day, they have free range to 8 acres 2 of which are pasture if they like.. most of our birds get out daily to free range, we may split half a day with orps and then araucana, or araucana and lester and company..or Mixed araucana and white araucana..no trimming here..no butts, no wings..

Have read many threads to see how high their roosts should be when they're young and big girls. If they're not good flyers, how high should their roosts be placed?
