Do Orpingtons take longer to incubate & hatch?

Yes, ALL of the Orpington eggs from the farm were HUGE! But 2 of the Orpington eggs are growing regularly I'm so confused...
That can be a problem. It's generally advised only to set eggs that weigh between 55-65 grams. Overly large eggs can have chicks that grow too large and don't absorb the yolk sack fully before hatching.
 
Hmmm. Thats a problem, because all of the eggs these particular chickens lay are large
I guess It's a mystery❔❓❔
 
Did you candle any other times? I'm just curious if they've always been behind the other eggs developmentally. Did they have nice shells when you set them or were they porous?
 
Yes, we candled them before, and they were always "younger" looking then the others. Their shells looked like the other eggs.
