Do quail use a chicken ladder?

I am making a quail condo and wanted to put an enclosed area with a door. I wanted to put it up high so that the quail could use it for shade, but will they walk up and down? These are coturnix.

They might, but I would doubt it. Feed them in the raised area and they might, but they also might stay up there continuously.

So should I make their inclosed area on the ground area then? Will they go into that at all?

They might use it but quail just naturally stay on the ground.
