I only have one hen that I consider a "pet". She follows us around, wanting to be held. Otherwise, we just go in to clean and take care of business. The roo just started coming after my daughter. Yesterday he tried attacking her through the fence!
I just took him to someone who will quickly make dinner out of him. I know I'm doing the right thing. It's crummy though. I really wanted a roo. Here I can have one, no neighbors to worry about...but can't seem to find one that will know his place.
He was super heavy too!! I couldn't believe when I picked him up how much he weighed!!
