Do Silkies' Feathers Feel like Chick Down?

Just wondering cause I've never actually felt a Silkie, but do they feel downy? That soft?

Not really. Feels more like the feathers on regular chickens bums

My silkie rooster's feathers feel (and look) more like hair than feathers. He's soft and, well, silky. I assume they all feel like he does.

i think i need to find a silkie and feel it. sigh. i wish there was something that felt like chicks all their lives.

Look at frizzles. They're pretty soft if they're not frazzles. Sillies are plush like chicks, but it just isn't quite the same
