Do silkies roost?

I am new to silkies and thought I read somewhere that they don't roost. I have babies that will go outside soon and didn't know what to do for a roost.

most chickens roost just put it close to the ground

None of mine like to roost, except the silkies i have that are crossed with mille fleur and japanese as they can fly a bit better. My pure silkies like to either pile on the floor of the coop, or hop up on top of the nest boxes which are only 12 inches tall. i have one that stands by herself facing a corner every night - go figure.

my roo and hen silkie like to roost but it isnt very far off the ground also my 6 to 4month old chicks also like roosting "somtimes"..LOL

I've only had one silkie that would roost and that's only because she could climb up a ladder to get there. I'd put a roost close to the floor because they tend to stay lower (Silkies can't really fly and usually hit the ground like a lead balloon).
