Do some hens never lay eggs? Update: culled hen, no eggs in her.

Yeah that is weird. Probably something going on that was not visible on the outside of the organs then. Sad that she had those issues.
Hope your other girls stay heathly for ya.
Ofcourse, see now you need a replacement and you know you can't just get one by herself as they should always come in pairs.

I have an EE that has not laid an egg to date, either. I got six shipped to me on 7/31 of last year (three EEs, three Australorps), so they are nine months old. The other five are laying. She doesn't go into the nest boxes at all. Unlike the other two EEs, she's pure white with reddish eyes. She's the sweetest of all, wants to be picked up all the time, and she appears smaller in body size/weight. Is there still hope for her to lay?

In my more recent experience I have had some late summer hens that did not start laying until the next spring when the days got longer. This year my whole flock slacked off where they normally laid thru the winter. I put a light in the coop for 14 hours per day, set to go off at their normal bed time. I also switched to Layena feed. They started laying better and the newbies started laying at 8 months old. They are still laying good and I stopped the light a few weeks ago. I live in Tennessee. If you live north of me light might be an issue but if south probably not unless you keep them in a dark coop until late morning.
You might give her a little longer. I have not raised many easter eggers but I know the rooster I raised had me thinking it was a hen. He was always in a pen with a rooster same age including another easter egger rooster. It was not until I culled and moved the other roosters that his comb got red, hackle feathers developed and he finally crowed a full two months after the other roosters.
