I have a light Brahma. Was the only hatching back in December. We raised him/ her in the house and his buddies consisted of stuffed animals and being spoiled by us. He never got along well with other chickens is always happy to be alone or with people. Now for awhile I thought he was a she. But the bones are so close together that if he was a she they would be further apart because she / he would be laying. But there is no None crowing. No agressive behavor. Nothing. I gave him a nice bath today and the feathers also appear to be rooish he loved the bath and wanted held in a towel while we watched tv. Very weird but I guess expected simce he was spolied.. Here is a picture I took before his bath I can post another in the morning.

Do some roo's just never crow ? This one really has me stumped.

Looks like a pullet to me as well, especially if hatched in December. I don't know why it wouldn't be laying though

I have 4 pullets and 4 roos - none of my roos have crowed yet either. My LB roos all have much higher combs and longer wattles.

I'd say you should be on the lookout for eggs. If you are keeping *her* in the house, maybe she is hiding her eggs

Well if he is a he and doesn't crow then thats good for me. But if he is a she then woot. I am on the look out for eggs, but some of the feathers are so roo like.
But time will tell maybe it is just a very gender confused chicken

looks like a pullet. is he/she in a coop with other chickens? if not then you might want to put a couple of fake eggs in with he/she to trick he/she into laying. i do that just because it can make some chickens lay better.

Definately a pullet. Comb is very very small and I dont see any feathers that would indicate a roo........
