do temps in incubator rise as the chicks grow???

for a long time i was having trouble getting my temps high enough and now (day 14) i am having trouble keeping them low. this has been going on for a day or two. i'm wondering if the growing babies generate enough heat to raise temps in the incubator.

Yes it can happen but more so in the last few days as the embryos have grown sufficiently to generate heat

If you have a properly working incubator, temperature should NOT rise... IF the thermostat is working, it should not be letting the heater run as long.

oh ok. thanks silkiechicken. maybe it isn't working well. i've been having temp issues the whole time. babies are doing well tho... fingers crossed. i appreciate all the info
