Do the Chicken's Lay in the same box

First and foremost I'm a new chicken mom so please be forgiving. I've read a lot of posts but it's very unclear.

I am pretty sure who is laying the eggs. I had one chicken hurt by a dog attack so I don't think she is laying, yet. I am guessing that because I get eggs only in one box. Is that a good assumption? In other words would 2 chickens lay in one box?

They're cumulative layers, they'll lay wherever other eggs are.
I have 4 boxes for 6 (laying) hens, they only use 1.

one box per four hens is what you should have and they like to lay where they see other eggs so thay feel safe

Yes. I've seen as many as three hens in the same nest at the same time laying. I've also had hens that would not share a nest when laying. You never know what will happen with an individual hen but one of our tricks is to put fake eggs in a nest to try to get them to lay where they think others are laying.

Yup! They'll lay in the same box. I've got 18 laying hens with 6 boxes so they have to lay in the same box anyways.
