Do these appear to be bantam chickens?

Not sure where you live but every year many 4H projects are looking for new homes and they will be use to being handled lots and good with kids. My second choice is from a breeder who breed not only for looks but personality. Cochins, Brahmas, Silkies all are known for being docile.

For a while i had a bantam roo that was a silver seabright. He would follow me everywhere.

I absolutely loved him till he died from MG (i think). They are a gorgeous breed. Also golden variation too.

I have heard tho that bantam roosters can be especially aggressive. I wouldn't take my word for it tho... Aside from my Copper Maran Roos all I keep is hens and I only had my bantam rooster for a month or two.

Yesterday, we brought home a black bantam rooster and two more bantam hens. We now have 6 bantam hens and one sweet little bantam rooster. He is very calm and gentle (hand picked to be the most gentle of the bantam roosters she had at her farm). All of the hens seem to love him and he seems to be very happy with his little group of girls. The coop has never seemed so at peace. We are very happy. He is an older rooster because those little things on the back of his legs are pretty large. He is very calm and lets the children hold him also. Hope this peace and contentment continues. We are very happy. After they get used to the coop and each other and can come outside to free range, I'll take pictures of our new little man and post them. Thanks for all the wonderful advice on the forum.
