Hi, first time hatcher here and I’m becoming a nervous wreck! We were gifted duck eggs of an unknown breed and we are on Day 23 of incubation.

From advice I received here I’m going to lock them down on Day 25. I’m worried however that I can’t really assess what’s going on inside, when I candle them barely any light passes through. In some I see movement but others no movement.

This is how they appear as of today. Do these look right-ish for Day 23? Are they supposed to be almost completely dark? I am having major first time jitters so thank you for humoring me 😬.

Yes, they look like day 23. And, yes, they should be dark, since ducklings aren't see-through.
