You can always put out a regular feeder for them to eat free choice. Take it up at night to help deter vermin.
A metal trash can with tight lid is a good place to set all feeders in at night. This way the feed is not thrown away and wasted, stays protected from the elements and you can easily just set it out each morning.

I've seen rats come out in the day time and eat the feed. We don't have a run for the chickens. We just give them the whole yard, practically.

You may need to do some trapping.

Even if they come out during the day, you'll have even more at night, so putting up feeders at night will be helpful.
