Do these sound like reasonable prices for selling eggs/hatching eggs?

1 doz. Medium Brown chicken eggs - $2.50
1 doz. fertile hatching eggs ( Mixed Flock - Roos are Rhode Island Red, Wyandotte, and Black Austrolorp. Hens are Brahmas.) All great layers! - $5.00

1/2 doz. Medium White Duck eggs- $3.50
1/2 doz. fertile hatching eggs ( Indian Runners and Runner crosses) - $5.50

Also, I have a batch of eggs in the incubator, so while I am thinking about it, how much do you sell mixed flock chicks for?

Thanks!

The brown chicken eggs not for hatching are a little high (at least from what I see around me) usually they go for $1.50-2 but it depends on your market.
The hatching eggs sound reasonable to me. As for mixed breed chick I'm assuming it's the same breeds as the hatching eggs and just from my experience asking $1.25-$1.75 is the normal range for layer chicks.

The 2.50 for around here is low. Farm fresh eggs are 3-4 a dozen.

I sell my eating eggs for $2 a dozen and fertile hatching eggs for $5-10 a dozen but mine are all pure.
I sell my chicks for $3 each straight run and people are beating down my door wanting them.
I even sold my mixed chicks for $3 each with no problem but it all depends on how much people will pay for them.

The price of eggs vary so much from different areas of the country, and also what type of area - urban vs. coutry - that you live in. I sell mine for $3.00, which is $1.50 LESS than what they go for at the morning market!

Check your local market for prices - while $2.50 may be high in some areas, it may be low in yours. The farmer across the road from me, sells his for $3.25 a dozen and he has a steady stream of cars coming and going. But that's cheaper than in the stores, where brown eggs are about $4 a dozen. I check Craigslist periodically to see what the people in my county and surrounding communities are selling them for, and I go with something similar.

Good luck

I sell dz eating eggs for $3 in my area.
I don't know about the hatching eggs...depends on the chicken people in your area. It may be a good area to sell mixed flock chicks/eggs or they will only be interested in pure breeds. It's worth trying and seeing what the response is like.

Thanks everyone! I have been checking out craigslist and those prices are about average(no clue their success rates with selling though), so my prices that I listed are about 25 cents lower than the averages that I found just because i live in a very remote location where there arent many people.

We have an auction that we will be taking all our eggs eating/hatching and I will also take up the baby chicks. Last time I was there the eggs were going for $1.30 to $2.50 or more. Baby chicks were going for around $1.70 or so. At this time I don't have enough to be selling, only have three chicken that are laying and 13 eggs in the bator.
