I have a small flock of three hens. They are bantams and 2 have always been frequently broody. They are now 2 and 1/2 and one of them seems to have become less broody in the past 6 months. I am not complaining, but just wondered, if that is usual as they age?

I think that it is something that varies from breed to breed and hen to hen within the breeds. I have some older hens who reacted exactly the opposite of yours.

I have an old lady here who never went broody for the first 3 years, then went broody and rejected her chick, then nothing until 2 years later when she went broody twice in 4 months!

I can hope so....my Salmon Faverolle is broody, the third time since november. She looses so much weight when she is(I do put food and water in by her, and shoo her off the nest once a day).
