Do They Get Bigger?

Now that our girls are laying, some eggs are biger than others, which we expected due to the types of chickens we have. But some of these eggs are so small! I think they are coming from the EEs, but we have small white ones, too. Do they start out small and get any bigger? Or are they as big as they're going to be right from the beginning.

No, no, they'll not likely stay that small. It is nature's way to start the plumbing out slowly. I much prefer it to the enormous, double yolkers that the production types spit out, far too soon in their maturity.
