are marigold bad for them to eat? my chcik has pecked at it several times.

I have never seen anything that says marigold is bad for them, my chickens eat them all the time because they are bright colored. In fact thats a great way to make very bright yoks in their eggs.

Jim Perdue feeds marigolds to his flocks...at least that's what the ads say...

I've noticed that most of the time, they won't eat things that are bad for them...

Marigolds are edible for humans, too.

It's not necessarily true that chickens won't eat what's bad for them. They may learn what makes them sick... and they might not.

Best practice is to limit exposure.
