do they need food and water at night?

I'm sorry I posted twice. I was called away just as I hit submit and then came back and couldn't remember if I had actually sent it.
It's chicken madness, I'm sure.
As for chick dander, there is a really good exhaust fan just above the bathtub and in our very tiny livingroom we have a caged dove, a caged cockatiel
and during the day a large cockatoo on a indoor tree. He sleeps in his cage in the spare room at night.
I don't think we have a single square inch of our house that isn't covered in fine dander dust.
Oh yeah, and two small hyper dogs that keep it stirred up and airborne all day.
Glad I'm not allergic.
After they are stable and fluffed out more I'll put the chicks out on the porch with the heat lamp on nice mild days but the forecast is for rain and cool conditions.
I just got a large easy to see thermometer that hangs in the brooder out on the porch and I can see it from the kitchen window.
I can cover most of the brooder with a big old quilt, just not near the heat lamp.
