Ok, I though tshe was due around the 8th but nothing. So I started to think maybe I was wrong about her being prego at all. I have the box in there but nothing. Well....yesterday, I have not been out today, I reached in to pet her and she started to kind on hiss at my stop her back legs and act like she wanted to bit me... No fur pulling though at all. Why is she acting like this....

It has nothing to do with pregnancy. Some rabbits get very protective of their cages. I've only had a few get this way and they are always does.

Ok. I have had her since she was about 3 months or so old and she has never done this before so it was a little surprising.

I reach in every day and pet/play with her, with no reaction.

I had a bunny have 7 babies 3 years ago. I put the box in there for her and waited..... I noticed 2 days before she had them she had pulled some of her fur out to insulate and make a bedding for them. I had put hay in there for her . They make a nice little nest for the babies in the fact the morning she had them I didn't even know cuase she hide them couple hours later I noticed she was licking herself (afterbirth)and then I saw little movement in the hay. I made her box completly covered minus the whole for her to get and made sure the babies couldn't climb out.I hope she is pregant it is such a neat exspirance the babies are adorable!!! Just make sure you dont touch them for at LEAST 3 days or more if you can restrain yourself

I was just thinking about the hissing noise too And actually that happened but not to me, I had the male in with her I didn't know she was prego tilll I notcied she was doing the hissing/growling thing to him I removed him and sure enouph she calmed down. She might just be telling you it is time for some space.Give her a week to herself minus feeding and drinking and she might settle down and have the babies.

Female Rabbits can be aggressive when they are mature or when they are in season or pregnant.
Depends on the rabbit and their personality

You can go ahead and handle the babies the same say they are born. You want to check the nest for any dead ones right away. Otherwise they start to smell nasty after three days. The whole "the momma will eat/neglect them if you touch them" is nothing but a myth.

It sounds like you have a very hormonal doe. It is normal for females to act like that. Just handle her carefully, and watch her. As long as she is not biting you, sheis fine.

Rabbits have their babies in 32 days. so if she doesn't have them soon, go ahead and rebreed her again.

I usually give my does private time around the due date. Just make sure there is extra hay in the nestbox and some hay to nibble on too. I had a doe eat every scrap of hay and then have babies in a fluff pile, they froze as I was unaware she ate all the hay
