do we have any vampires here?

Vampires?

No such animals. Sorry to ruin the fantasy folks.

There are bats that like to suck cow blood, but that's just how they feed.

Any human that drinks blood is a sorry excuse for a human being.

But why don't I tell you how I really feel about it?

Oh come on don't kill the joy. Can't help it that I think having a vampire bf like Edward Cullen would be absolutely HOT HOT HOT! LOL! Though if I could pick from any of my favorite authors chars, I'd have to pick LESTAT! *swoons*

I have to second the Charlaine Harris books recommendation. Funny, funny, funny. Really, give it a try. I like Twilight, have the read all four books and seen the movie, but trust me when I say there are better reads out there. Charlaine Harris is one of them.

I love the Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake stuff, but it gets a little racy and isn't a good recommendation for the young adult crowd.

For those of you who haven't tried it.... You *must* try Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. It kicked everything else out of it's way and became my favorite series.

Ohh interesting, I'll give that a try as soon as I'm done with Kelley Armstrong's latest book. You should read hers if you haven't yet, it's fantastic, I can't get enough! I want to cry every time I finish one of her books, I never want them to end!

Agreed. I enjoyed the Interview with a Vampire movie probably only because I saw the movie way before I read the books. I saw the movie like a million times when I was about 10 years old, I loved it. I've now read the book and like it MUCH better, but I just can't hate the movie, I try to think of it as a different story and just enjoy it lol.

Actually I thought I had vampires....cause I heard this terrible noise that sounded like a scream but not a human scream. It was really loud and it happened a couple times. Just outside my bedroom window at 4:30 in the morning. It was back in September so all my windows were open. I walked to the window and didn't see anything. I called my husband, who was working, and said "I think we have vampires and I was just standing by the bedroom window, what if they saw me?" He said "Don't worry, you have to invite a vampire in..." LOL I found out the next day it was a fox.

I refuse to read Twilight because I started a sci-fi/fantasy fiction book a couple years ago called Twilighters

(nothing to do with vampires). I realize I will have to change the name of my book

when I am ready to look for a publisher.

Vampires books...
Try Christine Feehans "Dark" series. I think there are currently 18 books in the series and they are AWESOMEEEEEEE
try christine feehan dot com and check them out.....but you have to start with the FIRST book I think its called "Dark Prince" or something like that.

I'm not a vampire, but have been accused of being a Druid or an Earth Witch.

And I'd prefer a werewolf over a vampire...

Mahonri, relax. Folks like to play and an active immagination is better than TV.
