Sorry, this is a really stupid question, but i really dont know.....are RIR and australorps count as bantams? I thought they were standards because i thought that bantams were smaller chickens and i thought that the RIR and australorps were pretty big....so are the chickens bantams or standards?

Rhode Island Reds and Australorps come in a Standard and a Bantam.
The Standard size RIR weight is around 8.5 lbs for roosters and 6.5 lbs for hens Bantams are around 34 oz. for roosters and 30 oz. for hens.
Australorps are about the same.. Weight will vary from hatchery to hatchery and even with breeders.

Just a confusion issue with me, but the word "standard" should refer to the ideal composition of the bird, as in "the breed standard calls for yellow legs." Large Fowl, or LF, refers to birds that are not bantams. So it is possible to have non- standard birds, in the miniature size as well as the regular size.
