Thinking Brown Leghorn, but gotta wait to see if her earlobes become white, which will confirm.Does anyone know what breed this pullet is? 8 weeks old. Thanks in advance! Sorry the pics aren't better, she extremely active! Catching her is a joke![]()
Thank you, I can get some closer pics this afternoon that may help! She's definitely a standard sized chicken.I can't tell how big she is, which would also help tell breeds. But maybe a Brown Leghorn, or a Black Breasted Red Old English Game Bantam, or a Gold Phoenix, or perhaps a Welsummer.
I'm seeing wild-type color (also called "Black Breasted Red" or "Duckwing"), with yellow legs and single comb. I'm not sure on ear lobe color, but perhaps white. She's currently slender, but even some heavy breeds are slender when they are young, so I'm not sure how useful that is.
Old English Game Bantams have white legs. Plus she looks large fowl.I can't tell how big she is, which would also help tell breeds. But maybe a Brown Leghorn, or a Black Breasted Red Old English Game Bantam, or a Gold Phoenix, or perhaps a Welsummer.

White legs are the standard for OEGBs.Maybe they are supposed to, but I've seen yellow legged ones from at least one hatchery.
I agree that if the pullet is a large fowl, then of course she's not a bantam.
Good to know. She's definitely a standard sized chicken.![]()
