Never had a issue with birds of prey. The only coyote on my property is a dead one, have no use for a ferral house cat as well. Most predators are beast of habit and lazy for a lack of better terms. Once they find an easy pick they will return until its depleted. A well constructed coop will deter all but the largest predator but it will lurk in the outskirts of your property waiting for you to turn your back while the flock is out of the coop and pick them off one by one.
