Do You Believe in Ghosts?

Many times I have had experiences. Grandma visited me on September 2 2005, about two months after she died. She told me to have a good day. Grandpa visited me a few times too after his death in 2007. My other grandpa came as well. I never met him. My dad 's older sis visited me after her death when I was age 2. And my dog, Ebony, visits me now. There's a thread I posted about her back in September after she died.

I've always got a bunch of ghosts around me because of all these deaths. Had an MRI not found my mother's cancer, she'd be visiting too.

So,yes,I believe in ghosts!

A few months after my sister passed away, one of my other sisters woke up to see almost a window in front of her. My sister was standing in water along a beautiful shore. When my other sister started asking questions, my sister looked distressed. My other sister said "No, no, I wont ask any more questions! Please dont go!!" But she was gone.

Still a believer in ghosts, signs and signals, and God. I do not find them mutually exclusive

I lived in a haunted house as a kid. Had some unique experiences, scared the heck out of a friend that slept over. No one would ever spend the night with me after that

Which is ironic when you consider how much people would LOVE to have that kind of experience nowadays...

Don't know if I do or not, but I love a good ghost story. And everyone I know has one or has heard one from someone they believe.

My sister says she was visited by my father after he died. My mother and my brother shared the same dream once - one of them began telling it and each could finish the other ones sentences with details. They were battling an "evil spirit" in the dream in the hallway which ran between the two bedrooms they had been asleep in while having the dream.

When I was little I was certain I heard and felt a ghost come into my bedroom. Heard heavy work boots come clunking into my room across the wooden floor and felt it stare at me for a long time through the pitch dark. I was sure I was awake and terrified. (My dad didn't even own a pair of work boots - he was a paint chemist and worked in a lab.)

I also didn't buy a house once because during a tour, I thought I felt someone still there. (I know it's weird - I just said the light is wrong, just didn't feel right - good price too!)

Maybe all of these things might be explained by the mind in a dream state (although the simultaneous dream thing IS weird). Who is to say that when we are tired, or else wise preoccupied we might not be dreaming while awake? Just some random ramblings like the category states.

Ghosts AND birds, in the same story. The house I live in now was built by a couple in the 1950's and they raised their kids here. It is surrounded by family owned lands, and all of my neighbors are related to these folks although I am not. Before I started keeping chickens and quail, I had trouble with "grandma", who died here in the house, from time to time -- things would fly off counters and break, etc. if her grandson didn't come by (he's my neighbor) and visit often enough. He still keeps up my yard and does any heavy work I need done.

When I first started keeping birds I was hatching some quail. I had one left in the hatcher, and some in the brooder. Before I left, I checked on them all. Then I went away for a few hours. When I got back, the lone quail from the hatcher was in the brooder with the rest! I asked my neighbor if he had come over and moved it -- he said no, and said, "It must have been grandma!" The occurence made their family feel good that she was still around. "Grandma" kept and enjoyed chickens during her long life. I guess now that I have them here, she has more to do, and doesn't need to break dishes to get attention anymore.

I'm glad she's watching over my birds.
