Do you change feed during winter months?

They're ready for recession.
Will be getting more feed friday but gonna skip the goat feed as it has meds in it my ducks and gander cant eat it, i dont remember that being medicated last time i bought it the chickens can its for cocci anyways but gonna switch a bag for gobblers grub its the highest protien bag i can get but cost $16 now feed is getting expensive

OK so I started changing over their feed. Right now it's a 50/50 mix of 16% layer pellets + 18% grower crumbles. Have 2 dishes of oyster grit that seem mostly untouched. One of my best layers (2 year old EE) dropped a soft shelled egg overnight (first soft shelled egg for any of them). Not sure how to resolve the lack of calcium consumed since she already has access to oyster shell, other than switching back to 100% layer feed. They did just move to a new coop/run this week, but the feeders/grit dishes are the same as before and they all seem to be eating/drinking normally. Any suggestions?

Edited to add - When I say soft shell, i mean no shell. just the membrane.

Stress can impact egg production, she might just have had a 'bad shell' day, once.
I moved the oyster shell container from the back of our coop to right next to the door to outside, and it did work better for a couple of our hens.
Sprouted seed are a nice treat, but don't add extra protein to a low protein diet. And don't add animal protein in particular. Also more work, so not happening here.

I looked online a few minutes ago and the closest feed mills are 2 hours away. The next thing that popped up were tractor supply. I’ll check with my local co-op where I get my feed from.

It's a bit late to reply to this but I just went through looking for this myself and ended up finding a thread here on BYC mentioning deer forage plot bags. As far as I am concerned that was the best option actually! I got one from Tractor Supply, they have small overpriced ones but they also have 40lb bags (brand name is Plotspike) that are the cheapest mixed seeds and no cracked corn option I could find so far. Hope this helps!
