I don't eat anything commercial with animal product unless I raised it myself. That means no milk, cheese, butter, eggs, Cheetos, or anything else with an animal product. So, as you can imagine, I can't wait to have me some goats, cows, and meat birds. I'm starving LOL. Not really, I'm actually healthier now then I have ever been. I NEED meat. Biding my time.

Not a problem for me. I get most of my meat from a local family operated abbitoir(sp?). They buy their meat from local farmers. Their pork comes from a farrow farm neighbour of mine. Not only is the meat cheaper from them, but I know that it was killed properly (humanely) and cut to order. I've finally found a neighbour who raises and kills meat bird. I've ordered 10 dressed birds from her.

I'd do it myself except I don't have the room here.

I've already warned my DH that if we ever move to the 200 acre farm we have in Quebec...everything (within reason) that is on the table will be produced on the farm.

The owners of a 'pick your own' strawberry farm won't eat meat that they don't know what the name of it was. Go figure

We LOVE chicken!! Eat it at least 4-5 days a week(It's cheap)...But we don't eat anything we name and ALL of ours are named now.
