Do you eat Rabbit?

We love it BBQd. Very good. You can pretty much season it like chicken for the BBQ. Looking forward to our local rabbit show that has a big BBQ Rabbit lunch anually. YUM!

Yes domesticated rabbit is very good!

Wild rabbits, buckshots had to be picked out and it does have a wild gamey taste to it and not as tender.

The best way to cook rabbit, is BBQ!!!!!! Or grilled, its the best!

I would have to agree Rabbit is very tasty I just found a new recipe for Hausenpheffer that I want try the last one I had was TERRIBLE but the new recipe is totally different and sounds very good.

It's delicious!

This makes me more happy about buying them, lol. I don't plan on eating the pair but breeding them and butchering the babies. BBQ'd was my first thought, I LOVE BBQ

I have no idea if the doe is bred right now so I am waiting to see. I think they're still young though, there hasn't been much thumping going on and their pens are quite close.

I'm suprised to see so many people that have had it and enjoy it!...im excited now

ive had rabbit once.
REALY enjoyed it... had it in a stew...

but its sooo expensive around here, the only place that sells rabit wants $25 for a 4lb rabbit, it wouldnt feed the whole family and were on a tight budget...

We got a rabbit awhile back who ended up being a mean son of a sucker. It was finally killed (it didn't go without a fight though, lol) and eaten. My son and the BF LOVED it, but I was too sissy to try it. I told the BF's brother that I'll kill it, clean it and cube it, if he cooks the next one. So, we now have five californians, four does and one buck, that were just picked up at the auction on Wednesday (for $16.25

) They're young yet, so I'll need to put some food into them before they'll be breeding age, but IMO, it was a steal, and still will be even after bringing them to breeding weight.

Oh, when I made the mean rabbit, I just made a stew (rabbit was about a year old) and dumped some kick'n' chicken in it.
