We ate ours and it was delish and a double yolker! We were so happy, we cut it into thirds and ate it like a pizza. After dinner. Like dessert. We were nuts with excitement! Now we get nine a day or so, and we all three get a chance to go out to collect them......

YES! I saved it, and when the second egg came---I fried them-- sunny side up-- laid them on top of homemade bread and ate them! Oh, my goodness were they delicious.. I didn't even share it with my dh but I did give my grandson some....

I purchased my hens at 18weeks--thinking I would get eggs with in a week or two-- WELL--I waited four weeks for the first egg! My 'hat is off' to all those of you that buy/hatch chicks and wait 24+ weeks to get that first egg...

Honestly, it got mixed in with all the others after the first few days. We ate it though, just not sure which day. Nobody has asked any questions, and my first egg pix are on my facebook. hehehe

I had one that tasted funny from my RIR. I think it was her first.

i never eat the first eggs they are all blown out and on a shelf with the name written on them and the day they layed it
