I have had the same sand in my run for the past five years. I scoop the poop several times a day, but the small particles are accumulating. Is there a danger of bacteria in this sand causing problems? Although it's dry and doesn't seem to smell, I'm worried it could present a health danger since the chickens ingest it for grit.
